The UV460 series are sptimized for the UV regions, which requires special fabrication process. The spectral response ia selective for ultraviolet radiation only.
These detectors have a sharp responsivity cut off at about 365nm(UV-A) and 320nm(UV-B), thereby eliminating filter requirements. These photo-detectors are desinged to fit for small size applications using TO-46 and SMD package in hermetically sealed with UV transparent window, but other options are also available.
