As disseminated grain size of chromium iron ore are generally thicker, while iron and waste have larger proportion difference, it can satisfy two big indexes of gravity dressing, so chromite ore beneficiation is mainly still by gravity method. Gravity separation of chromite compared with other separation methods has energy-saving, efficiency, environmental protection and other advantages, but also can obtain qualified iron ore concentrate and the ideal recovery rate.
Second , chromite beneficiation process flow
Chrome iron ore dressing plant mainly uses broken, screening, washing, heavy medium mineral processing method for sorting chromite of coarse crystallization granule size .
Using heavy medium--jigging--shaker--grinding --spiral concentrator--magnetic flow sorting chromite of uneven dissemination size and recovery rate can reach about 80%, fine disseminated chromite can adopt the stage grinding and dry low, high magnetic separation process to obtain concentrate.
Third , chromite beneficiation equipment
Crusher (such as jaw crusher,impact crusher, hammer crusher,cone crusher) can be selected according to its own customers needs, grinding equipment usually uses the rod mill, to avoid over grinding resulting in index decline of gravity separation.
Chrome iron ore separation equipment, jigger and the shaking table are the most commonly used equipments, jigger applies to the processing of crude,medium size of chromium ore, shaker applies to fine grained chromite ore. During chromite beneficiation process, combination of a jigger and a shaker can achieve the best ore dressing and indexes.
