- New camshaft with improved engine valve timing for better performance at low and mid range. - Ultra-light titanium valves, springs, guides and finger followers for maximum valve stroke and durability. - New chromoly frame with massive oval lateral tubes that guarantee optimal flex at the lowest possible weight. - Plastic frame guards with built in heat shields come standard. - Fully adjustable WP 48mm USD closed cartridge front forks with new bottoming cone and settings. Black machined triple clamps with adjustable (18/20 offset). New inner and outer fork tubes with coloring for reduced unsprung masses. - Improved flex characteristic with less bending and better bottoming control to more easily adjust to track and rider variations. - XC line has different cartridge settings. - PDS rear shock is redesigned with a new setting, piston II, shims, piston holder, needle (up from 11.5mm to 14mm") and is equipped with adjustable high and low speed damping to help with comfort and progression on challenging courses. - New high-end Regina o-ring chain for improved durability. - Lightweight black Excel rims for improved handling. - Newly designed shrouds for better ergonomics protected by the in-mould technology. - White number backgrounds come stock on all full-size XC models. - Redesigned clutch and ignition covers for added resistance against off-road riding boots, stones and roots.
