Our wheat germ line is processed to retain the natural nutritional and flavor characteristics of fresh, high quality wheat germ. The functional qualities of each include improving the stability, texture, nutritional value and flavor of processed foods and consumer goods of all kinds. Each is high in protein and fiber and is virtually fat-free. The cold-process method of fat extraction maintains all of the product's natural nutrition and flavor characteristics. The result is a product with an excellent nutritional profile and enhanced shelf stability.
Defatted Wheat Germ 1: WHGERM1 is a granular, light tan product with dark tan speckling. The flavor is reminiscent of raw wheat germ.
Defatted Wheat Germ 2: WHGERM2 is toasted with corn syrup solids to obtain a rich medium color. The product is granular in appearance and possesses a toasty, mocha-like flavor.
Defatted Wheat Germ 3: WHGERM3 is milled to a flour-like consistency and is light tan in color. The flavor is reminiscent of raw wheat germ.
Defatted Wheat Germ 5: WHGERM5 is prepared by toasting to a dark brown color. This product has been processed in particle size and color to simulate various granulated spices, such as pepper and cinnamon.
Defatted Wheat Germ 6: WHGERM6 is a toasted, fine, granular product. It is milled and sized 100% through a US No.60 screen. The flavor is reminiscent of raw wheat germ.
Defatted Wheat Germ 8: WHGERM8 is a granular product toasted to obtain a medium tan color with tan speckling. The flavor is toasty with mild, lingering nut-like taste.
Defatted Wheat Germ 9: WHGERM9 is toasted to a medium brown color and is milled to a flour-like consistency. The flavor is toasty with mild, lingering nut-like taste.
