EGF (Recombinant human epidermal growth factor), one of human growth factors, is a 6.2 KDa protein containing 53 amino acid residues. EGF is a highly efficient cell division factor with many other biological effects, which mainly includes:
1. stimulating the growth and proliferation of skin, cornea and racheal epithelium tissue in vivo.

4. accelerating the proliferation of epithelial cells in human and animals.
5. facilitating the biosynthesis of protein, rna, dna as well as metabolic activity in epidermal cells.
EGF (Recombinant human epidermal growth factor) has the function of accelerating the healing process of skin and mucous membrane damage, preventing and curing ulcers, eliminating inflammation, alleviating pain, and efficiently accelerating and regulating the growth and proliferation of epidermal cells. EGF also has very special effects in protecting and recuperating of epidermis and mucous membrane. It is now widely used in curing burn, scald, operational and mechanical injury, as well as skin ulcers. It is also used in laser cosmetology.
