TDS is the abbreviation of Total Dissolved Solids, referring to the total mass of inorganic salts and organic matter dissolved in water. Its main ingredients contain calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ions as well as carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate and nitrate ions. A TDS meter is an instrument for detecting total dissolved solids.
TDS is measured in ppm (mg/L), converted from conductivity with a proportional factor of about 0.7. The standard reference temperature for automatic temperature compensation of TDS meters is 25℃, with a temperature coefficient of 2% per ℃.
This tester reaches IP55 waterproof grade. It supports temperature display, and users can switch temperature units between Celsius and Fahrenheit by pressing the button.
